Best Practices Before Approving a Completed Booking

What to check before approving completed work to ensure you get what you paid for.

3 min read Last Updated: 2026-07-22

Step-by-Step Guide

1

Inspect Thoroughly

Review the completed work carefully. Check every aspect against what was agreed in the service package description. Don't rush the approval.

2

Test If Applicable

If the service involves repairs, installations, or deliverables, test them before approving. For example, turn on a repaired appliance or review a delivered document.

3

Communicate Concerns First

If you notice issues, message the Taskmaster through the platform before approving. Give them a chance to address your concerns.

4

Approve or Report

If satisfied, approve to release payment. If not, file a Report an Issue with photos and evidence. Don't approve and then complain — approval is final.

Helpful Tips

  • Take photos of the completed work before approving — they serve as documentation.
  • Approval releases payment immediately — there's no undo.
